Preparing for a Session
There are several things you can do to ensure a successful photoshoot.
1. Choose clothing that is comfortable and attractive.
2. Arrive well-rested.
3. Allow plenty of time to prepare for your session.
4. Plan ahead. Bring anything you will need for a quick "touch-up".
5. Bring props.

- You may need time to select the "perfect" outfit(s), get a haircut, or sneak in a manicure. Consider having your hair and makeup professional done prior to your photoshoot.
- It might require extra time to find props to incorporate into your photoshoot. Your first choice in props may prove difficult to find, requiring a 'Plan B'.
- Allowing extra time before your session will help minimize feeling stressed. If you arrive to a photoshoot feeling rushed and stressed, this will likely set the tone for the entire photoshoot, impacting the quality of your images.

- Consider bringing a comb/hairbrush, make-up, mirror, hair clips, a change of clothes, etc. Having these items available can make all of the difference during a photoshoot.

- Consider bringing an activity that you enjoy with you to your session. If participating in a family session, bring an activity that your family enjoys doing together. This will help keep everyone engaged and provide opportunity for us to capture natural, authentic smiles!

- Having fun during your session will allow us to capture true personality, emotion, and relationships in your images. This will allow us to avoid stiff, forced poses during your session.
- Engaging with others in your photoshoot will allow us to capture natural smiles.
- Not everyone needs to smile and look at the camera. Some of the best images are the result of catching a candid moment of those involved in the photoshoot.
